Urban Community Life, Inc. is a family development organization that seeks creative ways to build healthy community relationships. We have a special emphasis on bringing people together across socioeconomic barriers. Urban Community Life was founded November 9, 2007 by Rustin & Stacy Sweeney and their three boys. Urban Community Life came about from their experience of moving into an urban apartment community on the south side of Atlanta. By relocating, the Sweeney family was better able to understand the real problems facing the urban landscape, allowing them to partner with their neighbors to look for tangible & creative solutions. We are dedicated to the health & spiritual growth of those living in high density urban areas with a simple, wholistic strategy; be a powerful presence of care connecting neighbors. We seek to include other people in everything we do, using our lives as the vehicle by which “the sacred is transported from person to person”. Our vision is to reshape communities and give birth to multiple ways of building transformative relationships.
Constantly looking for new ways to connect and have a greater impact on urban and rural families, our flagship programs Community Life and UCLife Organic Farm and Agricultural Training Center embody the heart of our mission.
The Community Life program partners with the multi-housing industry, designing and implementing unique services to attract and retain residents. Our community building teams are a support to management and neighbors alike.
UCLife is our farm program designed to show the extensive power of ongoing presence through the vehicles of agriculture, health, and education. Our whole intent is to educate for one purpose, serve the world.
